Description

According to a quick report from the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Nghe An province, the Steering Committee Office for Disaster Prevention and Control of Quang Tri province, and the Irrigation Department of Ha Tinh province, storm No. 6 and heavy rain after the storm caused the following damage:

- Regarding houses: 33 houses were damaged, roofs blown off (Nghe An); 152 houses were flooded (Ha Tinh).

- Regarding agriculture: 10,096 hectares of rice were flooded (Nghe An 574 hectares; Ha Tinh 8,903 hectares; Quang Tri 619 hectares); 594 hectares of flowers were flooded (Nghe An 10 hectares; Ha Tinh 531 hectares; Quang Tri 53 hectares); 73 hectares of fruit trees were damaged (Ha Tinh); 433 livestock and poultry were killed or swept away (Nghe An 240; Quang Tri 193); 460 hectares of aquaculture were damaged (Nghe An 448 hectares; Ha Tinh 12 hectares).

- Traffic: 66 traffic points were eroded (Nghe An 21; Ha Tinh 06; Quang Tri 39).

Immediately after the disaster, local authorities mobilized forces and means to overcome the consequences, handle landslides on traffic routes; continue to count and assess the damage./.
