Description
The Typhoon that enters the area on since 28 October 2012 has approximately affecting 92,964 people in the coastal cities from Quang Ninh to Ha Tinh. The authority has evacuated and relocated 78,787 people in Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Pacific, Nam Dinh, Nih Binh, Nghe An dan Ha Tinh. Based on the CCFSC quick report no.8 on 16:00 29 Oct 2012 the typhoon has caused the following loss and damages. 1. Casualties: 12 death, 3 missing and 90 injured. 2. Housing and property: 429 houses collapsed, 55,251 houses damaged and flooded public facilities such as school and health office. 3. Public Infrastructure 21,464 electrical poles down 4. Agriculture & Aguaculture (flooded/damaged): 27,786 ha of rice field, 67,289 ha of crops, Livestock and poultry 348,423, and 11,877 ha of aquaculture 5. Boats (sank): 303 boats To date, the Central Committee for Flood and Storm Control (CCFSC) and the local authority continue to organize the emergency response.
